Chef Ricky's Blog - Summer Update

 

Hope everyone is having a great summer and staying cool! We have had a busy season and had a chance to get to know many people from around the United States, as well as the world.  Thank you everyone for your support!  As we get closer to school going back, it makes us think of important things like college football season!  Just kidding (not really).  It gives us a chance to think back to the many trips we hope you have had and the time we have spent together.  We here at Joe’s 2nd Street Bistro have been busy and have some new faces here. Mari is currently hard at work researching wines to add to our wine list (found on our website) and Kris and I are starting to look at some different menu options. And no, Rob, I will not be taking the Lobster Mac & Cheese off the menu.  We have some really cool things coming up here on Amelia Island, including the Jazz Festival, the last Sounds on Center(both in Oct.) and our city is bringing back the Dickens on Centre in Dec. (I know it’s early, but never to early to think about Christmas).  If you haven’t had a chance, try a River Cruise with Pajama Dave or Kayaking with Jules and Chris.  It looks like the heat might finally give us a little break for some incredible weather.  For any of these, or any other fun activities, check out our Chamber of Commerce here on the Island..
